Gurcan completed his MD/PhD at Hacettepe University Cancer Institute in Ankara, Turkey, where he studied the interplay between the complex tumor microenvironment (TME) of breast cancer on the adaptive anti-tumor immune response. In the Freed-Pastor laboratory, Gurcan is leading efforts to accelerate effective TCR engineered T cells for pancreas cancer.

Alex completed her PhD at Newcastle University, where she studied the genomics of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. In the Freed-Pastor laboratory, Alex is leading efforts to leverage cutting edge single-cell and spatial-omic technologies to dissect the pancreatic tumor-immune microenvironment.

Mike is a medical oncology fellow in the joint Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center program.  Mike completed his MD and MHS at Yale School of Medicine before completing his internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. In the Freed-Pastor laboratory, Mike is studying the antigen landscape of pancreatic cancer.

Rishi is a medical oncologist in the DFCI Gastrointestinal Cancer Center and is also an active member of the Immune Effector Cell (IEC) program within Dana-Farber, working to bring novel cellular therapies to patients with gastrointestinal malignancies. Rishi received his MD/PhD from Georgetown University prior to completing internal medicine residency at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). He then completed his hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center prior to joining the faculty at DFCI. Rishi is actively working to bring many of the discoveries from the Freed-Pastor laboratory to the clinic.
